Hello book friends! It’s time for another My Chronicle Book Box unboxing, it doesn’t seem that long ago that I was delving into my May box (My Chronicle Book Box – May Unboxing @MyChronicleBB ) and here I am again in August ready to share some more bookish delights with you.
My Chronicle Book Box is a wonderful book subscription box that arrives at your door every three months. You can either sign up for the full subscription like me or you can order one off boxes. Unlike most book boxes, you can choose between a crime and mystery box or a sci-fi and fantasy box. I have the crime and mystery box. At the moment you can also order a special A Discovery of Witches themed box and one-off special edition boxes which feature two books of your choice and a book cover. Visit the website for more info My Chronicle Book Box. And don’t forget to use my discount code – EBC10 – when you order your first box!
There are so many things I love about these boxes, I love getting three books from a genre I adore. The way the boxes are presented is gorgeous – each book is individually wrapped and there are personalised stickers on the box. The book themed items are always extremely high quality and unique to My Chronicle Book Box. And your box of book treats arrive in a box that is attractive and cleverly packed to squeeze in as much bookish goodness as possible! I cannot recommend these boxes enough.
On to the contents! This month’s box included not one but two hardback books and one paperback book. The books were ‘A Different Kind of Evil’ by Andrew Wilson, ‘A Shot In the Dark’ by Lynne Truss and ‘The Dead Ex’ by Jane Corry. I was lucky enough to read an advanced copy of ‘A Different Kind of Evil’ but I love this hardback cover, I mean look at it, so I am very happy to have a copy. I haven’t read the other two books but they both sound fantastic. Each book also came with an author interview and there was a signed book plate from Andrew Wilson.
Alongside the books, there was also a gorgeous Sherlock Holmes themed brooch/lapel pin, handmade by Bonita at Nabu Online. All their products are ‘for the storyteller in you’, I love this brooch and plan to check out what other literary products I can treat myself to! The brooch also arrived beautifully wrapped and with more info on the Nabu products.
Also featured was an exclusive A Discovery of Witches print, designed by Beth at Eyes of A Fangirl on Etsy, to celebrate the forthcoming special edition box. There was a super cute set of Storyteller pencils which feature literary slogans, designed and manufactured by Ustudio Design. Perfect when making notes for your novel or for filling in book journals.
The final item is my absolute favourite thing from all the boxes I’ve received so far and that is because it is inspired by my favourite author, Agatha Christie. It’s a wonderful Hercule Poirot print designed by Teddyandgoo on Etsy. I adore it and plan to frame it to put on the wall with my other Christie artwork.
And there we have it – another outstanding box from Louise at My Chronicle Book Box. I honestly don’t know how she manages it! Make sure you visit her and follow My Chronicle Book Box in all the usual places:
